Game changing... having bought an overseas microbrand that tax was over eighty quid. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice competitive watch but when I look at the price I mentally add twenty percent.

Did you measure the dial? In the description of the case it says it needs a 33.6mm dial, but in your video you said it's a 32mm dial.

These watches are great. I have 5 different offerings from the brand. Flipped two others. Solid option for anyone at their prices

Bought this watch a year ago. Wanted a Seiko but decided to buy this to try the style of a dive watch. I'm really impressed by this watch as I wear it every day as a beater. It goes swimming 2-3 times a week, cycling, gardening, mechanical work etc and it's been totally reliable. It loses about 1sec a month which is better than my G shock dw5600. The lume is weak but was still readable during pitch black dark room for hours. May not bother with a Seiko now. Highly recommended. Ps superb review.

I'm a bit of a conundrum: for a 36mm explorer what you recommend, the Baltani with nh38 or a Cronos with a SW200 ( yes I know there's a PT5000 option but I can squeeze a few more money. Thanks in advance.

Buy what you like. If someone else doesn't like it, tell them to buy you one of what they like, and you'll be happy to wear it. Also, it's fun to see people's reaction when, after running their mouth about this watch or that, they hear someone else talk shit about their treasured whatever. And believe me, no matter what watch makes your peepee hard, there's someone who hates it, and will shit all over it without hesitation or remorse. Nothing ever bolted together by Leyland would qualify as a great car. As a teen, I worked for a salvage yard/repair shop that specialized in British cars. We used to sell a bumper sticker that read "All of the parts falling off of this car are of the highest quality British craftsmanship". Why do Brits drink warm beer? Lucas refrigerators. The TR7 was especially terrible. An egregious affront to motorcars. But we love them, and so did our customers. People spent countless dollars and put up with weekends up to their elbows in grease to keep their beloved little Spitfires, Midgets, and MGBs running, while a Buick or Ford that had become bothersome went to the crusher.

Hi Dan, Thank you for sharing your story about how you got the MoonSwatch. It reminded me a lot of my late dad, who introduced me to watch collecting. I'm excited to continue the tradition with my daughter. She's only two now, but I can't wait to see how our shared interest will develop.

Mate, I’ve owned watches that cost many thousands and watches that cost less than one hundred, and I’ve come to realise that price is totally irrelevant. A good watch is a good watch. End of story.

It's all subjective to one's tastes, but personally I can't stand the windshield wiper power meter that's on these. I wish it weren't on like... all of their watches, and the logo/company name were up there in its place. To each their own though.

Nice story. The MoonSwatch Polar lights is beautiful. I like the turquoise color. Of course you can have a MoonSwatch and buy a luxury and very expensive watch such as a Patek Philippe.

Really enjoyed the honesty and fair criticisms of the watch, it does get very boring hearing the same old presenters saying why they love the watch with the thumbnail such as "This is the watch I have been waiting for". What you said made sense and made me realise there are many more options in this price range. Thank you

if (or when) Swatch will add their SwatchPay function to any of Moonswatches I'm gonna grab it straight away. Why? Because it will be one of the best value-for-money watches in the world.

That’s probably the best watch buying story I have ever heard. Yours, not the insane Asian Family one (I’m Asian BTW). I mean seriously? He couldn’t pay with his American Express Black Card? He had to carry around $100,000 in cash…Anyway. Happy belated Father’s Day to everyone. Again, like I always say, buy what you want and enjoy it.

But, objectively speaking, it's still a plastic watch. You could have found something else in Switzerland which would have ticked all those personal boxes too. A coffee mug might have done it 😅
